Akeredolu resumes work after 15 days vacation

Ondo State Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu, resumed official duties after the conclusion of his vacation timeline.

It was reported that the governor had, on Thursday, April 1, 2021, embarked on vacation which was part of his 2021 annual leave.

The vacation officially ended on Friday, April 23, 2021, with the Governor resuming work after the weekend on Monday.

The Governor has described his vacation as a refreshing time, saying that he needed a break from his appointed assignment.

In a statement issued by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr Richard Olatunde, the Governor described his vacation as a refreshing time.

Earlier last week, the Ondo State Election Petitions Tribunal dismissed a petition filed by the PDP against the re-election of Governor Rotimi Akeredolu for a second term in office.

The governor called the news of his victory in the tribunal a “great tonic”, expressing appreciation to his voters and assurance of better governance.

While Governor Akeredolu was away, the Deputy Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa performed the functions of the office of the Governor.
