All LASU First Class graduates to get automatic employment- VC

 The Vice Chancellor of Lagos State University,  Professor Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, has said that all the 112 First graduates produced in the 2021 academic session will get automatic employment from the university if they are interested.
The VC also said that graduates would collect their certificates instantly once the necessary clearance is done.
Olowu Benjamin Damilare from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering will be graduating with a 4.97 CGPA.
Also, two graduating students with Masters Degree will be graduating with a perfect 5.0 CGPA from the Department of Peace and Religious Studies, Faculty of Arts.

The VC while, briefing pressmen on Wednesday said she is delighted at the new development as the 112 is a new record of graduating First Class graduates, LASU has ever seen.
Professor Olatunji-Bello said “…As mentioned earlier, 112 students graduated with First Class Degree, which is the highest we have produced so far. I am also happy to announce that our best graduating student at this Convocation, OLOWU, Benjamin Damilare, from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering had a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 4.97 which is also a new record in the university, while three (3) of our best graduating students from the Faculty of Science had the same CGPA of 4.81.”
She also added that “the two (2) best Master Degree Students graduated with a perfect CGPA of 5.0. They are from the Department of Religions and Peace Studies and School of Transport and Logistics, respectively.”
She reiterated that this year’s convocation marks the first time LASU’s Africa Centre of Excellence for Innovative and Transformative Stem Education programme would be producing graduates.
“These graduands have fulfilled the requirements for the award of the degrees of this great institution, and on behalf of the entire university community, I congratulate them, their parents, and guardians and wish them the very best as they enter the next phase of their lives,” she added.
