He, however, blamed the evil spirit for his action, pleading that he was ready to turn a new leaf.

“l have lost count of the robbery operations I have been involved in. But they can’t be fewer than 40,” he added.

The Ondo State Commander of the Amotekun Corps, Mr Adetunji Adeleye, said Ojo was among over 30 suspects arrested in different locations of the state a few weeks back.

Mr Adeleye explained that the suspect, who escaped from a juvenile home in Akure, was arrested by the operatives of the corps for the second time.

He said Ojo was apprehended for burglary and stealing.

“We have re-arrested a juvenile robber, who adopted the name of notorious Nigerian armed robber, ‘Oyenusi’. The boy was arrested three years ago and taken to juvenile for illegal possession of firearms and robbery.

“At that time, he was 13 years. The best we could do was to hand him over to a juvenile and see if he could be rehabilitated.”
