APC Expels Ex-Deputy Chairman In Delta

The All Progressives Congress in Delta State has expelled its former Deputy Chairman, Elvis Ayomanor.

Ayomanor was expelled from the party by the Executive Committee of APC in Sapele Ward 7, Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, over alleged anti-party activities.

The former Deputy Chairman was expelled from the party following the recommendation of the Ward Disciplinary Committee.

According to the Executive Committee, the expulsion was under Article 21, Paragraph B (i) of the APC Constitution (as amended).

A letter released in respect to the development was endorsed by the Chairman and 25 other members of the Ward executive.

The letter read in part, “Upon receipt of the decision of the Disciplinary Committee, which was transmitted to the Executive Committee of the APC for Sapele Ward 7, vide a letter dated 13th September 2021, an emergency meeting of the Executive Committee of the APC for Sapele Ward 7, was held today, 14th September 2021, at the Party Ward Secretariat and after properly reviewing the report/decision of the Disciplinary Committee, we the members of the Executive Committee of the All Progressives Congress for Sapele Ward 7, hereby ratify the decision of the Disciplinary Committee expelling Mr Elvis Ayomanor from the APC. Accordingly, Mr Elvis Ayomanor stands expelled.”

In another development, Imo West Senator and former Governor, Rochas Okorocha has urged the APC to give its 2023 presidential ticket to the south to avoid a divided house.

Okorocha argued that it’s only logical and sensible for the APC to do this as the North has enjoyed its turn at the central government since 2015 and it is only natural for power to return to the south.
