Armed robbers allegedly kill UI final year student in Ibadan

A final year student of University of Ibadan, Ridwan Adebayo, has been allegedly killed by some armed robbers in Ibadan.

Frank Talk Now gathered that Adebayo, a final year student of the Department of History, Faculty of Arts, was killed on Sunday.

The incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Preboye Complex in Ibadan.

The complex is few metres to the first gate of the university.

It was gathered that the armed robbers collected the deceased phone before he was shot.

Efforts to save the life of the deceased proved to be abortive.

It was gathered that he was on his way to the hospital when he died.

Director of Communication at the University of Ibadan, Mr. Tunji Oladejo, when contacted, noted that he will get in touch with the Chief Security Officer of the institution to confirm the incident.

“Let me get in touch with the Chief Security Officer on the details. I will get back to you. Thanks”.

Public Relations Officer of the state Police command, Adewale Osifeso when contacted, said he would provide details soon.

“Good evening Sir. You would be updated soonest, please”.
