“On behalf of myself, family and entire PDP family, I pray to God to give him good and healthy life, and strength to continue to serve our country and humanity in general.
“Congratulations Waziri Adamawa my friend and brother”, the statement concluded.

Atiku, a presidential aspirant, recently said that a united Nigeria was possible if all Nigerians were treated fairly and equally. In a lecture given on November 5, the 2019 presidential candidate of the PDP said that he was confident the country could become united because he made such happen in his ethnically-diverse family.

He had said, “I don’t see any Nigerian as Igbo, Hausa or Yoruba. When I see you, I see you as a Nigerian and I expect the best from you. That is why I didn’t select where I should marry from. I married women from diverse backgrounds because I don’t look at their backgrounds. I only see them as wonderful Nigeria women. My children have brothers and sisters from different backgrounds and that is why I am confident that a strongly united Nigeria is possible because I made it happen in my family.”
