Bashir Ahmad reveals what’ll happen to FCT under Wike

Former Special Assistant to ex-President Muhammadu Buhari on Digital Communications, Bashir Ahmad, has predicted what would happen to the nation’s Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, under Nyesom Wike as its Minister.

President Bola Tinubu on Monday swore in Wike as the Minister of FCT, alongside other appointees.

The former Rivers State Governor has since assumed office, threatening to demolish buildings erected in the wrong places within the FCT.

In his words, Ahmad expressed optimism that the nation’s capital would witness new changes, growth and development under Wike.

Ahmad appeared to have criticised the Buhari administration when he said the FCT had been sleeping too long.

“I am optimistic Abuja will see new changes, growth and development under Minister Wike. This City has been sleeping for too long,” he stated on his verified X, formerly handle.

Meanwhile, his claim that Abuja had been sleeping for long has been generating reactions from Nigerians, who accused him of not speaking up while in office.
