Notorious bandit kingpin Bello Turji has reportedly shifted his operations to a new camp in Zamfara State following intensified military offensives in the North-West.

This relocation occurs just days after the Nigerian military successfully eliminated Kachalla Halilu Sububu, another prominent bandit leader, in a significant strike.

Security analyst Zagazola Makama confirmed on social media that Turji and his fighters have left their previous hideout near Tsafe and are now believed to be in Munhaye, a region known for harboring criminal elements.

Turji, who operates primarily in Zamfara, Sokoto, and Niger states, has become a focal point for military efforts due to his notorious activities, which include abductions and killings that have severely impacted local communities.

In response to the growing security threats, the Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, has directed military leaders to relocate to Sokoto State to oversee operations against Turji and other terrorists directly.

Matawalle reassured the public of the government’s commitment to restoring peace and urged citizens to remain vigilant as military pressure intensifies.
