A lecturer at the Benue State University in Makurdi has been caught on camera physically assaulting a student.

According to sources, Mr. Ichor Tersagh is a visiting lecturer at Benue State University (BSU) from the Department of Microbiology at Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi.

A video obtained by SaharaReporters shows Tersagh engaging in a physical altercation with a student, which includes slapping and striking the student on the head with his knuckles.

A source revealed that a group of students, including a 100-level student, accidentally walked into Mr. Tersagh’s lecture room, not realising that a class was already underway.

The source said, “We 300 level students were having lecture with the man – the lawless lecturer and our 100 level students were supposed to have a lecture at the same venue.

The lecturer is identified as Mr. Ichor Tersagh.“Normally, our class was to last for two hours, that was from 10 am to 12 am. It seems those who produced the timetable made a mistake because the 100 level students were also supposed to have a class by 11am at the same venue.”
