Beyonce, Michelle Williams watched ex-bandmate, Kelly Rowland’s delivery over Zoom

Former Destiny’s Child member Kelly Rowland has revealed in an interview with People that her former bandmates Beyonce and Michelle Williams, as well as her family members, watched her deliver her child virtually, via zoom.

Kelly, who is also the mother of Titan Jewel, gave birth to her second son Noah Jon, with husband Tim Witherspoon on January 21, 2021. She made the announcement on her Instagram page with a picture of her older son cuddling the baby.

In the caption section, she wrote, “On the 21st day, of the 21st year, of the 21st Century, Noah Jon Weatherspoon Greeted us! We are truly grateful.”

“We had our family join on Zoom… They were able to see Noah come into the world. It was beautiful.” The singer disclosed during the interview.

Rowland also praised her former bandmates Beyoncé and Williams as “awesome, awesome, awesome, awesome” aunts who had rushed to meet Noah in person as soon as they could.

“They met him immediately,” she said.

Also speaking on Entertainment Tonight, Kelly said, “The girls were literally over here at the house just recently and when they met the baby, it was like another part of my heart just … being able to share space with Michelle and Bey is truly a gift. And I’m just so grateful for them and they are a highlight of my life. Not professionally, but our friendship and our sisterhood — you’re going to make me cry.”

Other members of the family present at the virtual delivery experience were: her mother-in-law, and Beyoncé’s mother Tina Knowles.

Destiny’s Child girls continue to display a strong sense of sisterhood even after parting ways as a group in 2006. Beyonce and Kelly collaborated with Michelle’s 2014 song “Say Yes”, while Kelly and Michelle performed alongside Beyonce in the 2018 Coachella.
