A video has surfaced online, showing the police vehicle used to convey protesters on Saturday morning being pushed by traffic regulation officials in order to start moving.
The Black Maria, belonging to the Lekki Concession Company was deployed to arrest protesters that defied the government’s warning against the planned protests.

Some people behind the barred windows of the vehicle were also recorded explaining their ordeal, and how they were whisked and harassed by the police officers.
The video posted by Gidi Traffic, also shows one yet-to-be-identified protester saying that the police simply came towards him and held his shirt. “I said, excuse me, sir, why did you hold my shirt?”, the man recounted.
