Body Of  Kidnapped Lawyer  Found In  Anambra Forest

A member of the Nigerian Bar Association   (NBA), Otuocha Branch, F.O. Onwuachi Esq., who was kidnapped some days ago has been killed by his kidnappers

A source who pleaded anonymity disclosed to TheNigeriaLawyer that the kidnappers demanded for  N30 million  ransom while the family requested to hear the voice of Onwuachi before payment but all to no avail.

It was later discovered that the deceased had been killed even when negotiations for payment of the ransom were ongoing.

“They demanded money and when they demanded money, those monies were not on ground. The community had to call their sons and they rallied round for the money and the kidnappers contacted the family.  The family wanted to hear from their son that day we had the apprehension that something had gone wrong.

“They said we should give them thirty minutes and they switched off their phone. They didn’t call back again. It was one of the people kidnapped that told us that while we were calling they had shot him.” the source said.

He added that the kidnappers demanded the sum of N30million and later  reduced it to N10m.

“They demanded 30 million in the first place and at the end of the day we said we had N10m.”

When TheNigerialawyer asked about how the corpse of the deceased was discovered, the source said, “In a forest, In Nando, Anambra East Local Govt.

“They were herdsmen  because the person that gave us the information was one  of the people kidnapped. He said they were all Fulanis with highly sophisticated weapons.”

Recall that F. A. Onwuachi Esq. was kidnapped on Friday, 12th day of March at about, 7:30 pm along Ezu river/Anaku road in Ayamelum Local government area of Anambra State.
