The former Nasarawa State Health Commissioner, Dr. Bawa Ahmed Abimiku, has passed away.
Abimiku, who also went by the traditional title of Durbin Eggon, passed away at the Federal Medical Centre in Keffi early on Tuesday, December 19, after a protracted illness, according to a family source who confirmed the news.
During the late Alhaji (Dr.) Aliyu Akwe Doma’s government, he served as both a Commissioner and a Member of the State Executive Council (SEC), playing a pivotal role in the health sector.

Islamic custom dictates that Abimiku’s funeral will take place at the Abuja Central Mosque, Federal Capital Territory, at 2:00 pm.
