Legendary music producer, John Oboh, popularly known as Mighty Mouse is dead.
Mighty Mouse who is known for popularizing the Ajegunle rhythm in the 1990s, died on September 18 in Lagos.
Cause of his death is attributed to a prolonged battle with an illness believed to be cancer.
Hus demise was announced by a source close to the family.
John Oboh was part of a remarkable family of 10 siblings, including Mabel Oboh, who serves as the African Democratic Congress (ADC)’s National Publicity Secretary.
The Oboh family also boasts notable members such as Peter Oboh, the former British and Commonwealth Light Heavyweight boxing champion, and Chief Josephine Oboh-Macleod, a celebrated art collector, curator, and philanthropist.
Oboh stood as the godfather of Ajegunle City, crafting what would become the timeless Galala music genre.
