Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja, the candidate backed by Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has emerged the National Vice Chairman and South West Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
He got 343 votes as against Dr Eddy Olafeso backed by ex-governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, who got a total of 330 votes during the party congress held on Monday.

With Arapaja’s victory, Makinde now cements his place as leader of the party in the region.
