Tito Jackson, a founding member of the legendary Jackson 5 and brother to the late pop icon Michael Jackson, has passed away at the age of 70.
Famous for classics like “ABC” and “I Want You Back,” the news of Tito’s death was confirmed by his sons via Instagram on Monday, although the official cause of death has not yet been disclosed.
The Jackson family is once again mourning the loss of a cherished member of their musical legacy.
Tito, who performed alongside his brothers Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon, and Michael, leaves behind a significant musical impact. Michael Jackson himself passed away in 2009.
Steve Manning, a long-time friend and former manager of the Jackson family, confirmed the sad news to Entertainment Tonight, stating that Tito died on Monday.
His three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ Jackson—who gained fame as the R&B/pop trio 3T in the 1990s—shared their grief in a heartfelt post on Instagram.

They wrote, “We are shocked, saddened and heartbroken.
“Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.”
“He will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us.
“Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another’. We love you Pops.”
