Supporters of human rights activist and AAC presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, Omoyele Sowore, have gathered at Lagos International Airport to receive him as he is scheduled to arrive in Nigeria today.
Fellow human rights activist and lawyer Deji Adeyanju shared this information on Sunday via his official social media page, posting a picture of the crowd at the airport with the caption, “Nigerians have started arriving at Lagos International Airport in anticipation of Omoyele Sowore’s arrival.”
In another post, he wrote, “More comrades are now arriving at Lagos International Airport to receive Omoyele Sowore.”
Recall that Omoyele Sowore accused the Department of State Services (DSS) of allegedly upgrading his status on its “watchlist.”
The activist shared a copy of the DSS signal, which indicated that his status was upgraded on Thursday, September 12.
The signal, dated August 16, 2024, and signed by Adeola Ali, allegedly ordered DSS operatives to arrest Sowore upon his arrival in the country.
