As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, the United States of America has announced its decision to get at what it describes as Russia’s main artery as it bans all imports of Russian oil and gas.
In a tweet by President Joe Biden on Tuesday, he said the US is banning the importation of Russia’s gas and oil.

Before now, the US president had said it refrained from banning the importation of Russia’s oil and gas because the US was considering the welfare of its citizens.
His tweet: “Today, I’m announcing that the United States is targeting the main artery of Russia’s economy.
“We are banning all imports of Russian oil and gas.”
