Buhari declares Nov 1 National Youth Day

 President Muhammadu Buhari has approved November 1st of every year as the National Youth Day.

Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare, made this known on Wednesday.

Dare in a Tweet said, “Today, President Buhari in Council approved November 1st every year as the National Youth Day to celebrate, draw attention to and find solutions to the issues that affect the Youth.

Today’s Federal Executive Council meeting was virtual as Buhari presided from the Council Chamber of the Presidential Villa, Abuja with ministers participating virtually from their offices.

The meeting, which started at about 10am, also had Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, in attendance.

“Mr. President as again demonstrated his commitment to supporting youth focused policies,” Dare further stated.
