Buhari Participates In High-Level Plenary Session of US-Africa Leaders’ Summit

President Muhammadu Buhari joined other African leaders in participating in the high-level plenary session of the US-Africa Leaders’ Summit held in Washington DC on Wednesday.

The summit, which is being hosted by US President Joe Biden, brings together heads of state and government from across Africa to discuss ways to strengthen the US-Africa partnership and address common challenges facing the continent.

During the plenary session, President Buhari engaged with President Biden and other African leaders on issues of mutual concern, including economic development, peace and security, and human rights.

The leaders also discussed ways to enhance trade and investment between the US and Africa, as well as efforts to combat climate change and promote sustainable development on the continent.

The US-Africa Leaders Summit is being held for the first time in over a decade and is seen as an important opportunity for the US to reaffirm its commitment to Africa and strengthen ties with the continent.
