Caleb University Appoints Oluwatunmise Ogunniyi the 7th ‘Vice-Chancellor’ for One Day

Mr Oluwatunmise Precious Ogunniyi, the Academic Director of Student Representative Council (SRC), has been appointed the 7th Vice Chancellor for One Day (VCOD) of Caleb University, Imota Lagos.
The 400 Level Computer Science Student, is a high-ticket website designer, WordPress specialist, whose ongoing project aims to create a code-free platform that teaches ‘non-techies’ how to develop professional sites.
He is widely acclaimed as a worthy servant-leader who had earlier emerged, among others as “ICT Unit Most Committed Chapel Worker; Vice President, Campus Fellowship; Student Chaplain Representative in the Student Representative Council; and Overall Most Committed Chapel Worker.
Ogunniyi thus became the seventh student to emerge Vice-Chancellor for One Day. Before him, five members of the University’s Graduate Development Scheme, all graduates of the University who became faculty, had served in the same capacity since the programme was initiated on November 6, 2019.
The ‘One Day Vice- Chancellor Programme, an initiative of Prof Nosa Owens Ibie, Vice-Chancellor, Caleb University, was initiated to reward exemplary behaviour and performance among staff and students.
Along with other routine duties of a Vice Chancellor, Mr Ogunniyi who was accompanied by his parents and two siblings, had the singular honour of presiding over the 2023 Christmas Carol Service, a core University event.
The VCOD’s schedule included sessions with the substantive Vice-Chancellor, whose office he occupied for the day, as well as principal officers, student leaders, the  Caleb Media Team, and previous recipients of the honour.
He had a Live Guest Appearance on  Radio Caleb 89.3 FM.
