Catholic Bishop seeks action as Kaduna community buries 40 persons killed by terrorists

The Catholic Bishop of the Kafanchan diocese, Julius Kundui, has called on government at all levels to focus on their primary responsibility of protecting the lives and property of the people.

The clergyman said this during the funeral service of 40 persons that were killed recently by terrorists in Malagum 1 and Sokon villages in Kagoro Community Kaura Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.

While narrating their ordeal, some of the victims said they have been neglected by the government and called on the international community to come to their rescue.

The victims said that they lost 29 motorcycles, and two cars and 164 houses were burned adding that in less than two years the area had lost over 80 persons in Kagoro and Madamai communities who were killed by terrorists.
