The comedian, who doubles as Naval personnel, was arrested on November 14 at his duty post (office) for breaching the Armed Forces Social Media Policy and is was held in Naval custody. He was allowed conditional release on December 3 but was denied access to his family and counsel.
Recall that Commodore Suleman Dahun, the spokesperson of the Naval command had informed Punch’s Saturday Beats that Cute Abiola will be serving a light punishment of ‘one-month extra duty’ after standing trial.

Dahun said;
“Cute Abiola has been placed on one-month extra duty after he was tried. He will be in charge of cleanship; supervising painting, electricians, carpentry, cutting of grasses, and others. He will be supervising civilians.
“He is no longer under detention. He has been released to move around to serve his punishment.
“Because he was detained on November 15, that one month will start counting from then, which means he is going to be engaged till December 15. By then, he will be off the extra duty.”
In new photos sighted on his Instagram page, the comedian made it known that he has been released.
Sharing new photos of himself he wrote:
”You may have to fight a battle more than once to win it. THANK YOU ALL”
