Control TV/Radio, a fledging media brand has set out plans to roll out top-notch programming and services that would change the face of broadcasting journalism in Nigeria.

Gimba Umar, a multi-award-winning broadcast journalist, and CEO of the Control Media Network said at a recent media parley in Lagos, that Control TV/Radio would primarily focus on Television and Online Digital Broadcasting of News and Information, with a particular focus on propagating the development of the socio-political, cultural and environmental fabric in Nigeria and on the African Continent.

He said, “Our Team has acquired a combined painstaking 45 years of experience in the Media/ Broadcasting spectrum winning Laurels. We are an 11-time Winner of the prestigious NMMA.

“With Bureaus in five states including the FCT, we are set to deliver programs that are youth-centric in our bouquet of programs that capture the interests of the youth women and children”.

According to Umar, Control TV/Radio which is already thriving in the social media space, Youtube, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Linked-In, and Tiktok, is poised and focused on telling human-angle stories like no other broadcast station in Nigeria.

He said with their recent acquisition of a radio license, and their talks to get on the StarTimes Platform, Control TV is in pole position to wow Nigerians when it comes to persons with a niche for detailed reportage devoid of government influences.
