COVID-19: University of Ibadan announces resumption of physical lectures

The University of Ibadan, Ibadan in Oyo State has announced the resumption of physical lectures for its students.

The institution made this disclosure via a statement made available on Wednesday.

It was gathered that the institution had earlier suspended all physical classes in the institution till further notice.

The suspension of physical classes became necessary due to coronavirus pandemic that has been ravaging the world since December 2019.

The institution has been running online classes for its students since it announced suspension of physical lectures.

Our correspondent, however, reports that the institution has said that all arrangements have been put in place to resume physical classes for its students.

The institution in a statement entitled, “NOTICE OF PHYSICAL RESUMPTION FOR THE REST OF FIRST SEMESTER 2020/2021 ACADEMIC SESSION” and signed by its Registrar, Olubunmi Faluyi, added that physical lectures for the rest of the first semester of 2020/2021 will commence on Monday.

“This is to inform students that the University will resume physical lectures and examinations for the rest of the First Semester of 2020/2021 Academic Session on Monday, 7 June, 2021.

“Other details in relation to the physical resumption will be communicated in due course.”
