Crawford Presents 7th Public Lecture via Zoom

Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State, is presenting its 7th Public Lecture via Zoom .

A statement by the Head, Public Relations Office of the university, Layi Olajumoke, said the event will  hold on Tuesday,  August 25,  by 11.00 a.m. on the virtual space via the Zoom internet conference protocol.

He said the lecture, titled, “Leadership, Entrepreneurship and Institutional Legacy,” had been billed to hold by early April before the COVID-19 Lockdown.

The lecture is expected to be delivered by Mrs. Umar-Gayya, the Director-General of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, ASCON, in Topo, Badagry, Lagos State.

According to him, “The Management of the Igbesa, Ogun State-based University had kept their fingers crossed in the hope that the New Normal of the pandemic lockdown would soon give way to normal social intercourse.

“But with the easing of the lockdown nowhere on the horizon, they decided to go the Virtual way, hence the slating of the lecture to be aired to audiences right around the nation and beyond via Zoom with the meeting ID being 88097358768 and Password being 522058.”

He added, “It is on record that Crawford University was among the very first set of the nation’s private tertiary institutions to embrace the virtual lecture protocol on the week following the March 19 lockdown, precisely on the 26th of March, 2020. After a successful Mock e-examination, the institution is presently conducting a substantive 2nd Semester e-examination for the immediate two-week period.”

The lecture will be chaired by Professor Isaac Rotimi Ajayi, the Vice-Chancellor of the University, who is also the Chief Host.
