Davido reportedly puts up his new Banana Island house for rent, almost 7 months after Ifeanyi’s death

Afrobeat singer, David Adeleke better known as Davido has reportedly put up his Banana Island house for rent.

According to reports making rounds, the award-winning singer is renting the house for $150,000 per year following the death of his son, who drowned in the house’s pool.

FTN reported that Davido and Chioma Rowland lost their son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

Ifeanyi Adeleke died on Monday, October 31.

According to information reaching Kemi Filani News, Ifeanyi Adeleke got drowned a few days after his third birthday which was on October 20.

A source close to the family stated, “The boy was inside water for too long and they pulled him out and rushed him to the hospital,” the family source said under anonymity to await an official statement.

He was rushed to Evercare Hospital in Lekki where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

It was further gathered his parents, Davido and Chioma had traveled for a family gathering to Ibadan and had left Ifeanyi with his minders who couldn’t explain how he entered the pool without being noticed and drowned.

Davido breaks down in tears as he speaks about his son’s death

Recall that weeks back, Davido opened up on the tragic loss of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The singer, in a touching interview with CNN, broke down in tears as he spoke about his first son’s untimely death.

He revealed that grieving the loss of his son had some impact on his album.

According to him, he had finished the album before the tragic loss, which made him take a step back.

“Before my son passed, we had finished the album. But it was a tragic situation, and I had to calm myself down and take a step back”.

He stated that he and his wife, Chioma Rowland, didn’t deserve that.

“Nobody would want that. And everybody knows that Chioma and I didn’t deserve that”.
