The Concerned Parents and Educators Initiative (CPE)  has clarified that the viral video across social media platforms on the alleged meeting of the parents and teachers association (PTA) of Dowen College is fake news.

It said the video was a clip from a stakeholders meeting organised by the CPE on Saturday to discuss the can of worms in the nation’s education sector.

A statement by CPE convener, Yinka Ogunde on Wednesday said, “It has come to our attention that the stakeholders meeting organised by the Concerned Parents and Educators Initiative(CPE) has been erroneously labelled a DOWEN PTA meeting .

“Kindly note that CPE held a Zoom meeting on the 4th of December to discuss the issue of bullying and cultism in our schools and the clip was extracted from the full recording which we shared on our Facebook group.

“Kindly note and effect change.”

“It is not just about looking back or asking ourselves who is to blame .
The key thing is the way forward.

“As CPE members, we are in a vantage position to drive change and transform the sector .

What do we do?
