A taxi driver in Ilorin, Kwara State, Wahab Ajibaye, has voiced his despair over the escalating fuel prices that have rendered him unable to adequately support his family.

Despite earning N20,000 daily, Ajibaye is left with only N3,000 after spending N17,000 on fuel, which he describes as a crushing burden.

“I am buying fuel for N1,100 and I make N20,000 daily, but I take only N3,000 home,” Ajibaye lamented. “I am the owner of my car, but I am no longer making enough to cater to my children and my wife.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) government will not end well. Nigeria is becoming worse, and we pray God takes away this set of current leaders.”

Ajibaye placed the blame squarely on the ruling APC government, stating that their policies have intensified the suffering of ordinary Nigerians.

“Their government is bringing more suffering. They’re not ashamed, despite many Nigerians cursing them. They should rethink,” he added.

This sentiment is echoed by former APC national vice chairman, Salihu Mohammed Lukman, who criticized the party for its governance record.

He called for unity among opposition leaders to challenge the APC in the 2027 elections, highlighting the unmet promises of both former President Muhammadu Buhari and the current administration under President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

In a response, APC National Publicity Secretary Barrister Felix Morka acknowledged the increasing economic difficulties but defended President Tinubu’s efforts to reform the economy, claiming they are necessary to address long-standing issues.
