The lawmaker representing Ekiti South Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Abiodun Olujimi, has withdrawn from the primary election of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state.

Senator Olujimi is one of the key aspirants vying for the PDP ticket in the June 18 governorship election in Ekiti State.

On why she decided to quit, the senator cited gender bias and an unfair resolution of matters arising from a lingering controversial congress of the party.
