Liverpool boss, Jurgen Klopp, has said the way Arsenal turned around their season is ‘not normal’ because they have since had an incredible run of results and remained good.
Arsenal started poorly at the beginning of the season, losing their opening three games of the campaign.
But since their embarrassing 5-0 defeat to Manchester City, Mikel Arteta’s side has gone eight games undefeated in the Premier League, including six wins and two draws.
Their upturn in form has seen them rise up to the fifth position on the Premier League table with only two points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
When quizzed on Arsenal transforming their season, Rohr said at his pre-match press conference on Friday ahead of his side’s Premier League clash with the Gunners on Saturday, “I’m not surprised.
“A season starts and the winner of the first matchday – if you win 4-0 – gets asked, “Can you win the league?”, if you lose the first game, then you are directly in the relegation battle.
“Obviously, with the quality of Arsenal, there was never a chance that they stayed where they were at the beginning of the season, so it was always clear they would come back.
“The way they came back is not normal because they have since then had an incredible run of results and they are good.”
