Buoyed by the overwhelming reception its first two episodes have enjoyed, producers of EVIDENCE, the groundbreaking Christian movie series casting a spotlight on youth life, have announced that a third installment will hit global screens on Saturday, October 12. The premier is scheduled for 7pm, GMT+1, on YouTube.
Part three, christened The Wages of Sin, carries on with the story’s gripping plot which looks far from easing its hold on the viewer. It builds on the suspense transported from the very genesis of the plot involving close-knit nuclear family members who have a mole tucked beneath their skin, as they reel under a tragedy that leaves them in a bind.
Somehow, key characters have to work a tight rope of balancing their faith with the need to see criminal justice run its full course. Ultimately, the story stays faithful to its motif of the constant battle of every human heart: to follow God’s way or stay stuck with self.
In episode two Edward stepped on Mark’s toes when he approached a court to obtain an administration letter, a document to enable him take legal ownership of Phoenix, the company for which his envious uncle, murdered his parents. Mark is infuriated by Edward’s boldness.
In Episode three, Mark plans to use his gang of assassins to trace, kidnap and force Edward to sign a document, transferring the company to him before finally assassinating him. As providence would have it, the police are one step ahead of him but await proof to make any arrest. On D-Day, the assassins make their move on Edward, but the police rally from sabotage to abort the kidnap and arrest the assassins.
