The Editor of the Vanguard Newspapers, Mr. Eze Anaba, has been elected as the President of the Nigerian Guild of Editors.
He took over the mantle of leadership from Mustapha Isah.
Anaba defeated a former Editor of ThisDay Newspapers, Mr. Bolaji Adebiyi at the ongoing biennial convention of the NGE holding in Owerri, the Imo State capital.
While Anaba polled 250 votes, Adebiyi scored 81 votes.
Meanwhile, at a dinner hosted by the Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, editors were urged to market Nigeria as a good protect to the world.
The governor who got an award for hosting the guild twice in one year, said, “Every nation is a product, and every product thrives with marketing.”
