One Mr Imaobong Kelvin has been arrested for impersonating the State Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, Pst Umo Eno.
He was arrested following a petition to the Deputy Commissioner of Police.
It was gathered that aside from impersonating the commissioner through a fake Facebook account, the suspect had defrauded unsuspecting members of the public.
SP Odiko MacDon who is the Public Relations Officer confirmed his arrest to Newsmen on Tuesday.
He said, “the suspect who is a notorious fraudster and sex maniac confessed to having fraudulently created the Facebook account”.
“He uses the said account to lure innocent and unsuspecting ladies to hotels, has carnal knowledge of them with a promise to assist them secure jobs while defrauding others of various sums of money running into millions”.

“He succeeded in luring more than 10 ladies through the fraudulent Facebook account and had sexual intercourse with them at various hotels while posing as the Personal Assistant to the Honourable Commissioner”.
Two phones,two airtel sims, two glo sim, an MTN sim card, seven dollars and five yuan have been recovered from the suspect.
SP Odiko ended by warning fraudsters to desist from the criminal act.
“The Commissioner of Police wishes to warn fraudsters, impersonators and those involved in other heinous crimes within the State to desist forthwith or have the law to contend with as the Command will spare no resources in ensuring that the state continues to enjoy the prevailing peace.” he said.
