A family of four, including two children were found stabbed to death in their Upper West Side apartment, Manhattan, New York on Monday.
The two adults and two children died from stab wounds inside their home on the fourth floor of 328 West 86th Street.
Emergency services found the father, 41, mother, 40, and daughter, three, and son, one, dead at the apartment, Daily Mail reports.
According to the New York Post, police were investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide, quoting sources as saying.
The building superintendent, who is related to the mother, went to check on them because he hadn’t heard from them since Sunday morning. He called 911 after drilling out the lock of their apartment and seeing blood inside.
Police and emergency services were called to the scene just before 3pm Monday to perform a wellness check.
The Daily Mail added that the police found the family of four dead at the bloodied New York City apartment, as knives were found next to the bodies of the children.
The adult victims had their throats slit – and the children suffered stab wounds.
The baby and toddler were found in the same bedroom, while the mother was discovered in the hallway, and the father found in a second bedroom, reports WACB.
