Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode has reacted to the interview granted by former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose on Arise Television.

It was gathered that Fayose, on Thursday, appeared on the television breakfast programme, Morning Show to discuss the outcome of the 2023 election.

During the programme, the former Ekiti governor clashed with one of the hosts, Rufai Oseni, over comments against his personality.

Trouble started when Oseni faulted Fayose’s call for everyone to move on after the violence witnessed at last Saturday’s gubernatorial and house of assembly elections.

The host reminded the former governor of how he was allegedly secretly recorded by an army captain when he was hatching election fraud plans in 2014.

He further questioned if Fayose would have asked people to move on if another candidate had won the election and his attempts to rationalize the violence that happened in Lagos State because it favours the president-elect, Bola Tinubu.

Responding, Fayose said the question was an attack on his personality and he would not accept it, clarifying that reports of him being recorded have not been proven.

Fayose noted that he had objected to coming on Arise TV because of Oseni but that he was promised by the co-anchor, Reuben Abati, that he will moderate the show well.

Reacting to the development in a tweet via his Twitter account, Fani-Kayode hailed Fayose for handling himself well, adding that he had a great outing on the programme.

Fani-Kayode wrote: “Great outing by my friend and brother Ayo Fayose.“
