Dangiwa, who noted that the project aims to address the housing shortage in Nigeria, explained that the initiatives will be part of the first phase of the Renewed Hope Cities Project.

The minister added that the project will be implemented through a combination of the Federal Mortgage Bank, Federal Housing Authority, and private-public partnerships.

“With this project alone, we aim to create over 240,000 jobs at seven per housing unit. This aligns with Mr President’s goal to create jobs, lift 100 million Nigerians out of poverty, and grow the economy,” he stated.

FTN recalls that Nigeria has an estimated 28 million housing deficits, with over 60 per cent of its population being multidimensionally poor.
