Goodluck Jonathan responds to rumours of joining APC

Ex-President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan has denied joining the All Progressives Congress.

The Nigeria social media space was abuzz on Wednesday following viral reports that the former president has indicated interest in joining the ruling party and dump the Peoples Democratic Party.

The rumour fuelled speculations that the former leader may have plans of vying for President once again in 2023.

However, according to Politics Nigeria, Jonathan’s spokesperson, Ikechukwu Eze, has debunked the rumours, describing the reports as ‘Fake News’.

He said, “The report is Fake News, if he defects it would be announced through the proper channels.”

Eze maintained that his boss (GEJ) has not moved or considered moving to the ruling party.
