Gunmen have attacked a Divisional Police Headquarters in Dikenafai, Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State.
According to reports the gunmen attacked parts of the station with explosives and freed the detainees.
The explosives reportedly destroyed the administrative office, the Divisional Police Officer’s office, and the reception desk.

Chairman of Ideato South LGA Interim Management Committee, Pastor Bede Ikeaka, who confirmed the development, expressed shock at the incident.
However, the Imo Police Command spokesperson, Michael Abattam, said he was yet to be briefed.
