Heavy rain, lightning send Rivers’ voters home

Astrange windy heavy rainfall broke out in Rivers State around 2pm disrupting the election particularly in Port Harcourt, the state capital.

The rain, which came with thunder, forced many voters, who could not cast their votes to return home.

The voters decried their inability to cast their votes as the rainfall worsened the already poor performance of the Bimodal Voter Verification System (BIVAS).
