The Inspector General of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the withdrawal of police protection from some top personalities and organisations in the country.
This directive was contained in a letter directed to all zonal assistant inspector-generals and all state commissioners of police through a wireless message dated November 4.
It was learnt that serving and former lawmakers, former ministers, a former secretary to the government of the federation Babachir Lawal and popular personalities were affected.
The move came amid ongoing reforms in the police force following the recent #EndSARS protests across the country.
