Ilaro Poly Gets Two Deputy Rectors As Council Confirms Appointments

The Governing Council of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro, has confirmed the appointments of Tpl Ademola Lukmon Lasisi and Dr. Mrs Charlotte Bose Iro-Idoro as Deputy Rectors of the institution.

TPI Lasisi is the Deputy Rector in charge of Administration while Dr Mrs Iro-Idoro is one in charge of academic matters.

Until their new appointments, Lasisi and Iro-Idoro were Deans of Schools of Environmental Studies and Communication & Information Technology respectively.

Tpl Lasisi was born on 31st May 1963 in Ibadan, Oyo State. He joined the services of the institution as a Lecturer II in the Department of Urban and Regional Planning in February 2003 from where he steadily rose to the position of Chief Lecturer in January 2017.

The new Deputy Rector (Administration) has held various positions of responsibility within the Polytechnic, including the HOD as well as the Dean of School.

He was and still is an Academic Board-appointed member of the Governing Council of the Polytechnic.

Tpl. Lasisi is a member of various relevant professional bodies and had served and still serving on various committees within and outside the Polytechnic.

On the other hand, Dr. (Mrs.) Iro-Idoro Charlotte Bose joined the services of the Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro as Principal Secretarial Assistant IV on 15th January, 1996 and rose to the position of chief lecturer in 2018.

She was born on 15th December 1963.

Dr. Mrs. Iro-Idoro has served as Head of the Department, of Office Technology and Management and was until her new appointment as the Deputy Rector, (Academics) the Dean of the School of Communication and Information.

Dr. Mrs Iro-Idoro belongs to various professional associations both as a member and a fellow.

She is the current Coordinator of the Women in Technical Education and Empowerment (WITED) Ilaro Chapter.

She bagged her PhD in Personnel Psychology. Dr Mrs Iro-Idoro has served and still serving in various committees within and outside the Polytechnic community.

It could be recalled that the duo were earlier elected by the Academic Board before they were confirmed by the Governing Council for a single term of four years, with effect from December 7, 2022.
