Renowned lecturer in the Department of Mass Communication, Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Oluwaseun Mobolaji Abati has bagged a doctoral degree in Mass Communication at Babcock University Ilishan Remo, Ogun state.
The new PhD holder is the Chief Editor of Ink Line Times, an Online news medium run by students of Mass communication. The veteran journalist has also served as editor for various Nigerian publications.

Before entering academia, Dr Abati worked as an information officer for a number of local government councils in Ogun State and served as the former chairman of the Local Government Information Officers Chapel (LOGIC) of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Ogun State Council. He is currently enrolled in Babcock University’s doctoral program in mass communication and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR).
Dr Abati who is also a legal practitioner is the spokesman for the academic staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP), Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro Chapter.
