Ilaro Poly: Rector Commends Lecturer Patriotism In Fostering Growth, Development Of Institution

The Rector, Federal Polytechnic Ilaro, Dr. Mukhail Akinde has commended Engr. Irmiya Bitrus, a lecturer in the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, who travelled abroad for further Studies and come back to help towards development of the Polytechnic through knowledge acquired.

Bitrus is a beneficiary of the TETFUND Scholarship for International Studies to pursue Masters degree in Electrical Engineering and Renewable Energy Systems at Staffordshire University, United Kingdom.

The Rector described the act of the lecturer as a sign of patriotism which would foster growth and development of the Institution in particular and the Nation at large.

In the same vein, The rector urged other intending TETFUND scholars, especially those studying outside the country to emulate Engr. Irmiya Britrus.

However, Engr. Citrus has revealed he declined several juicy and tempting job offers abroad against coming back home.
