It was an unforgettable Day for the final-year students of Federal Polytechnic, Ilaro as they dropped their pens and completed their final examination for the 2021/2022 academic session.

The students while jubilating couldn’t hold themselves as they rushed down to the Pavilion Ground of the institution, knelt down, and thanked their Creator for witnessing the Day.

Meanwhile, the School management had earlier announced a ban on signing out outside the campus.

Another student, Eniola Kolajo in her words: “How time flies, starting this journey is with a rollercoaster of emotions like What do I do? Where do I start? Where do I go? Never knew where life was taking me or rather, never knew where I was headed to. One thing I knew then in 2017 is to put God first and let him guide you, and yes, I let him lead the way. I was me, met new people with different characters, age differences, attitudes, charisma, etc. I learnt through this journey that sometimes you laugh other times you cry.

“Being a student takes a lot of dedication, sacrifices that you’re not willing to take. I learnt that people will go and come, play with your emotion and leave you broken. As an adage will say, “whatever breaks you makes you”. Times I feel like quitting when I feel like I might not set the bar high, that I might not meet up to expectations that I’m not enough but I will say, those you keep around you determine how your life as a student will spine out. Grades!!! one important part of schooling, your grades speak for you wherever you go. One thing I realize late is not showing my talent early in school. As a student, show what you got, and don’t be shy to express yourself because everyone will always want to be friends with a successful person later in the nearest future.

“If asked to define my journey… Omo firstly, “Five years no be beans o”. The journey served friendship, betrayal, love, greatness, hope, dedication and tenacity. As I would say to my friends ” This is the end to a new beginning”.

Mojisola Deinde added, “I feel very happy, glad and relieved…it’s been tough and all but I appreciate God for his mercies and the grace to finish school …after five years …it is awesome…and the fact that school celebrates with us. with the provision of music at the pavilion bringing all the graduating students together, it was indeed a great one”

Colleagues and friends of the graduating students also joined them in their celebrations using markers to sign on their white shirts
