The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has announced the auctioning of over 800 forfeited vehicles and other items.
This was contained in a statement made by the anti-graft agency on Friday, December 2, 2022.
According to the statement, the agency said the auctioning will take place across its zonal offices across the country. It added that on every auctioning day, it procedure will commence from 9 am to 3 pm.
“The general public is hereby notified that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) through the appointed auctioneer will conduct physical and eAuction of the under-listed items that are subject to final forfeiture orders in accordance with EFCC (Establishment) Act, 2004, Public Procurement Act, 2007 and the proceeds of crime (Recovery and Management) Act, 2022,” the statement reads.
The agency explained that the auctioning is not open to its staff, pensioners as well as those whose properties were forfeited.

The duo who were arraigned on Thursday, December 1, 2022, are identified as Orji Kenechukwu Emmanuel and Samuel Okwo Mark.
Orji is alleged to have pretended to be Kohler Kaycee, a Gabonese national, and induced one Albert Leo Martino to deliver $149 USD (One Hundred and Forty-Nine United States Dollars) to him with claims to invest in a crypto trading company.
