JUST IN; Former Emir of Kano Sanusi, reacts to Presidential ambition, his next plans

Muhammmadu Sanusi, the immediate past Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), and former Emir of Kano, has declared that he doesn’t want to be Nigeria’s President.

Franktalknow learnt that the former Emir made this known while speaking at a reception in his honour to mark his 60th birthday in Abuja.

Speaking further, he said that he doesn’t want to venture into politics either. According to him, he wants to go back to School and earn another degree.

“I have secured admission to the University of London for a PhD in Law programme, ” he said.

He added, “I will be writing on the codification of Muslim family laws an instrument of social reform”.

Sanusi noted that the country has a problem if privileged Nigerians fail to think of how to help the less privileged everyday.

He said that fear and greed are the two critical factors that have destroyed Nigeria as a country. He also added that he is not afraid of going to prison or dying, as he cited that his prison experience had taught him not to be afraid of anything.
