The Governor of Kano State, Abba Yusuf, has nominated Mustapha Kwankwaso, the son of Rabiu Kwankwaso as commissioner.
Recall that Rabiu Kwankwaso – a former governor of Kano, was the presidential candidate of New Nigeria Peoples Party in the 2023 general election.
The governor has also nominated Adamu Kibiya, a former commissioner for land, who was suspended for making derogatory statements on tribunal judges.
Others nominees for commissioner position are Usman Aliyu and Abduljabbar Garko.
The names of the four nominees have been forwarded to the Kano State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.
