JUST IN: Soldiers storm Joju, Sango-Ota over protest

Aftermath of protest over cash crunch and fuel scarcity at Joju area of Sango-Ota in Ado-Odo Ota, LGA Ogun state on Tuesday. Soldiers are being called in to join other security agents to maintain law and order in the area.

Some soldiers were seen on Wednesday morning providing security for law abiding citizens who were going about their daily activities and the banks located at Joju axis.

It was observed that their Hilux van was parked in front of one of the banks.

Among the banks located in this area are Fidelity Bank, FCMB, UBA and GTBank. Scores of bank customers had already besieged these banks as early as 7:00am, some of them were seen patiently sitting on chairs under the canopies, waiting for the bank officials to open for business.
Signs of Tuesday’s protests were still visible this morning, as ashes of burnt tyres covered some sections of the road but reports revealed that normalcy has since returned to Sango-Ota and it’s environs.
