Usman Suleiman Danmadamin Isa, the first chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Sokoto state, has died.
He passed away in the late hours of Friday. Isa was said to have been ill for a short time.
He was the Commissioner for Religious Affairs before his death. Danmadamin Isa was also the Rural Development Commissioner.
He was the chairman of the APC between 2015 and 2018, when he defected to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) shortly after Governor Aminu Waziri Tambuwal’s defection.
He was a successful businessman and contractor before entering politics. He was the owner of a furniture manufacturing company.
